Creator Rights Initiative

This Is Not
Your Problem Alone.

Across the globe, thousands of legitimate YouTube creators are being demonetized by automated AI moderation — with no clear explanation, no warning, and no real human appeal. We're building the most structured, documented response the platform has ever seen.

01

Create an Account

Free, takes one minute. Email or X/Twitter — no Google login required. Just enough to identify you as a real person.

02

Sign the Petition

Any registered creator can sign — your signature joins the counter and the formal letter to YouTube. Open and inclusive by design.

03

Submit Your Channel

Optional, but recommended. Link your YouTube channel and provide evidence — video links, screenshots, appeal history. This unlocks the public listing.

04

Manual Verification

Our team reviews every submission by hand. No bots, no auto-approval. Only real creators with legitimate cases enter the public list.

The Problem & Our Response

A broken
system.
A clear
response.

In spring 2026, YouTube's AI began mass-removing monetization from thousands of legitimate creators — using a vague new policy label introduced in late 2025.

We're not here to fight YouTube. We're here to fix something that's clearly broken — and to help the platform correct its own mistakes.

What's Broken

01

A Vague Policy Used as a Weapon

In late 2025, YouTube introduced "inauthentic content" — a label so broad that AI began applying it to genuine, high-effort videos with no human oversight.

02

AI Mass-Demonetization Hits Real Creators

Animators, CG artists, vloggers, gaming streamers, educators with real humans on camera — thousands lost monetization overnight. No notice. No specific reason. No warning.

03

"Like and Subscribe" Treated as Spam

Channels are being terminated for asking viewers to like or subscribe — actions YouTube's own interface explicitly prompts. Standard engagement is being labeled as fraud.

04

Appeals Blocked or Auto-Rejected

Many appeals are denied outright. Others receive identical templated rejections within minutes — incompatible with DSA Article 20's requirement for human review.

05

Withheld AdSense & Viewer Donations

YouTube holds back already-earned AdSense revenue and direct viewer donations via Super Thanks and Super Chat — neither paid to the creator nor refunded to the viewer or advertiser.

06

Ads Keep Running on Demonetized Videos

In multiple cases, YouTube continues showing ads on the very videos for which the creator was denied monetization — extracting revenue from work the platform refuses to share.

07

No Accountability, No Due Process

Sanctions have no defined end date, no review mechanism, no path to a real human. Creators have no way to understand why or challenge the decision meaningfully.

Our Commitment to You

We Verify Every Channel Manually

We check that your channel is real, that it's yours, and that the demonetization is unjustified. No AI decisions here — a real person reviews every submission.

We Publish & Amplify Your Case

Verified channels are added to our public database and published on X — so YouTube sees a documented, undeniable record of affected creators, not an anonymous list.

Petition Weight That Cannot Be Ignored

Because every signer is verified, our petition carries legal and moral weight. YouTube cannot dismiss it as bots or exaggeration — every name is a real creator, a real channel, a real loss.

What We Demand from YouTube

01

Human Review for Demonetization

Major monetization decisions must require a real, competent human reviewer — not an AI system or an outsourced reviewer with no platform context.

02

Restore Video Appeals for Everyone

Every creator must have access to a full video appeal process. Appeals must be reviewed by trained, platform-literate staff — not auto-rejected by an algorithm.

03

Specific Strike Transparency

Every demonetization must include the exact video, the precise policy violated, and a clear explanation. Vague labels like "inauthentic content" are not acceptable.

04

Distinguish Spam from Standard Engagement

Asking viewers to like, subscribe, or comment is not spam — it's the engagement YouTube's own interface prompts. Real spam, fraud, and impersonation must be treated separately.

05

Pay Out Already-Earned Money

Withheld AdSense earnings and Super Thanks / Super Chat donations must be paid to the creator — or transparently and verifiably refunded to advertisers and viewers, not silently retained by the platform.

06

Disclose Ads on Demonetized Videos

If ads continue running on a video for which the creator was denied monetization, YouTube must explicitly disclose this — both in the terms of service and in the individual notice to the creator.

07

A Joint Review Protocol

We propose collaboration: our verified channel database reviewed by YouTube's own internal team. Let competent humans make the final call — together.
